I am a Taiwanese American yoga instructor specializing in Vinyasa Flow, Acroyoga and Hatha. In 2014, I completed a 200 hour teacher training program with Jay Co in Yogaraj in Los Angeles. Since then, I have been teaching yoga classes and workshops in various studios, community centers and fitness centers around Taipei. In 2017, I completed a 300 hour teacher training program in Rishikesh, India at the Patanjali International Yoga Foundation. I continue to study and learn by attending immersions by Acroyoga International, workshop by Kino McGregor, 2 months Ashtanga Vinyasa course in Mysore, India at Sthalam8, and continue to maintain a daily morning Mysore practice under the guidance of Ann Huang at Space Yoga, Taipei. I am also the cofounder of Oceansound Yoga Festival, Taiwan's one and only annual 3-day yoga festival held in Kenting, Taiwan.

So how did this journey all begin?

Age 15, I had some chest x-rays taken after an asthma attack in Taiwan. That's when it was brought to my attention that I've got scoliosis, an "S" shaped curvature of the spine. I started seeing a chiropractor about it and he recommended that I try YOGA. So I did... and guess what? I did NOT enjoy it. To me, it felt like slow exercise for people who were lazy, old, or injured. Fast forward to today and as you can probably guess, I no longer feel that way! Although it was the physical practice that brought me to this path of yoga, I've learned now that yoga is not just making pretty postures on a mat. It's also a mental and emotional exercise. It is a life long practice of self discovery and self realization.

Yoga has impacted my life in many ways. As I build strength, I start to believe in my own potential. I start to find my limits while expanding my boundaries. Yoga moves me, keeps me calm, makes me feel powerful, and lifts me up while I learn to stay grounded. Most importantly, it brings my awareness back to myself in the midst of this fast-paced life. Come join me for a session and see what it’s all about!
